The original Bianchi Sprint launched in the 1970s and was an iconic bike at that time. Know as the race machine of choice for the budding competitor and loved for its slender looks and design, built with slender-tubed, welded steel and all together a (for its time) mean machine!
Bianchi, the worlds oldest bicycle manufacturer with heritage from 1885, have now decided to give new life to the sprint with their launch - ”The return of an icon”.
The Return of the Bianchi Sprint in 2019 gave us a whole new bike but built on the same philosophy - this is the machine for the challenger, for those who are new to the world of competitive road cycling! A carbon bike with the avid and quintessential Italian race DNA, a stead for the weekend rider but also the racer.
The new Sprint is a full-carbon speedster with aggressive racing geometry, whether you are consistently tackling big distances on the road, or actively entering the world of criterium and road racing, this bike will carry you forwards as you progress.
“a celeste “show stopper” and a bike that will turn some heads when you go down the road with style (its happened to us more than once)”
So, this is a bike that is pitched to be “worthy of inclusion in Bianchi’s Racing category” measuring up to names like the Specialissima and the Oltre XR4 - made famous by, among others, the yellow and black Jumbo Lotto Tour De France team. There is two was to look at the comparison of these bikes, there is the “100% statistics and on the paper” approach - were the XR4 and Specialissima take an easy win over the lesser equipped Sprint. But when you ride the bikes and set it into the context of “bang for the bucks” aka. value for money the verdict is an entirely different situation and a closer call. The sprint is a great runner up and an absolutely amazing bike when considering the price tag, a great starting stone and a bike that you can grow with and ride really fast just like its “bigger brothers” XR4 and Specialissima.
The Iconic Sprint = Halv the price but a great deal more when it comes to performance! If you are new to the game there’s no doubt what bike you should choose! :)
Your Sprint will deliver a great ride whether it is long, short, fast or slow ride.
This beautiful, clean bike comes with the selection between disc or rim brakes - are you a “classic” or a “speedster”?
Good to know is that the Sprint frame is compatible with larger volume tires, all to enhances comfort and the roadgrip! With the disc version you can fit tires up too 700x32 and the rim break version lets you ride 700x28 tires!
The Sprint encourages you to push the pedals extra hard and while you riding fast you will undoubtedly enjoy the ride as the Sprint takes the turns smoothly, the gears makes your climbing manageable and the classic look makes your ride awesome!
The solid frame combined with the wide gearing (50/34,11-32) lets your take on most climbs and still pick up great speed on the flats!
We have had the great pleasure of riding the Sprint for a season and we can say - The Bianchi Sprint doesn’t let you down! This is a great “bang for the bucks” race cycle that will leave people turning their heads when you pass! A reliable workhorse with race DNA in every carbon fiber that can accompany you for any challenge you may through its way. Riding the Bianchi Sprint is, if you ask us, always a pleasure! Put all of this together and you find yourself with a bike that looks good, feels good, rides good and won’t smash your bank - we totally recommend this bike! !
